Stairs and Ramps

Bulldogs can go up and down stairs easily when they are carpeted. The slippery hard wood floors are a bit tricky for them. That’s why we use stair runners on ours. I ordered them off of Amazon when Nipsey kept insisting on going up the stairs to my horror and almost rolling back down. He gets firm footing with the runners and they are safer for people too. Here is the link to take a look at them on Amazon.

There are all different styles and patterns so that your stairs look pretty and you bulldog is safe. Even with the carpet runners Ruger didn’t do stairs well as a senior. I bought a home with a main floor master just because of this. I also had ramps built for my back door and garage so he didn’t have to climb any stairs to go outside to potty. I enlisted a handyman from my local Angies List to build them for me. They were not expensive and he loved them. There’s nothing I won’t do to make my bulldogs comfortable and to avoid injury for them. It also came in handy when my mom was in a walker and needed help negotiating stairs. It’s good for everyone!!
